VB Tutorial: Plant Mama Memory Planning
Hi VB Fam!

Raise your hand if you love the idea of memory planningI I know everyone reading this probably has at least one hand in the air. I love memory planning, but I sometimes overthink the process and end up not following through.

Both of my granddaughters are starting Pre-K this year, so documentation is a must. But with my overflowing plate already full, I needed to find a simple (but cute) method to document this milestone. I took a look at the Plant Mama monthly VBKit, and came up with some pretty quick ways to complete a spread using just a few items.

Supplies:

Traveler’s Notebook
7.5 mm Leafy Vibes Washi Tape from the Plant Mama VBKit
Sticker book from the Plant Mama VBKit
Photos
“Print to Size” mobile app (optional)
The first thing you need to do is to print out your photos. I used my Canon Selphy, but any type of printer can be used. I also used the “Print to Size” app to resize my photos on my phone. The Canon Selphy prints a 4x6 inch photo, so I used the app to resize two of my images to 3x4 inches so that the photos would fit the size of the traveler's notebook pages.

If you do not have a photo printer available, you can also use a photo processing center like Walgreen’s or CVS to get your photos printed. These companies allow you to order prints online that you have stored on your mobile device. You can use the app to resize your photos and save them to your device. Then, you can send them to a company to be printed.
After you have your photos in hand, it’s time to start building your page. The first thing I did was use the washi tape to adhere the photos to the pages.
Next, I added a full-box sticker to each page. I chose one decorative sticker and one functional sticker to write on.
The next step was to add some stickers that I could use for journaling the dates, the title, and the caption. The small stickers were perfect for adding the title of the spread across the two pages.
The last step was to write a few details to capture the moment from the photos.
That’s it. It was really simple, and I can use this method throughout the year to document the girls’ first year of “big school” in a spread that took less than ten minutes to complete. I am sure that when the girls get older, they will love looking back at this special time in their lives.

I hope that you find this method of memory planning helpful. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’d love to see your quick and simple memory pages.
