VB Close Up: Planner Set Ups

CeCe here and today I’m sharing some ideas for planner accessories you can make to set up your planner using the current VB kit theme.

By now you’ve seen the August kit unboxing of VB Studio goodies and now you're thinking, “What should I make?” I’m getting the most out of my VB kit by using it to set up 2 different planners. I’m currently using the Happy Planner micro as a daily task list planner and Print Pression weeks planner for everyday planning. Both planners are blank slates to do whatever I want with. A few cuts and couple sticks and you got yourself the perfect setup.

First off, you should print and cut this month's digitals. Check out this post on how to download them. They can be used for so many things, but one of my favorites is die cuts. Die cuts are perfect for adding a little personality to your planner. I print them on white cardstock paper and then cut them out with the Cricut Maker, but you can also cut them by hand with scissors.

After cutting all the die cuts I want to use, I start off by setting up my micro planner. For my micro planner I want to change the front and back covers and I also change the discs to match. Using the paper included in the VB kit, I measure the sizes for the front and back covers with a ruler and then cut those out with a paper cutter (or you can use scissors). After that I glue one of the die cuts that I printed to add to the front covers for decorations. Then I laminate the front and back covers, to make sure they are nice and sturdy to be Arc punched and added the planner discs.

You can also add a few of the journaling cards to the pages within the micro as dashboards. The cards fit perfect - no cutting needed, just arc punch and add to micro.

After these cool touches have been added, I now focus on adding a few touches to my weeks planner.

I don’t know about you but I love to open my planner to a beautiful sight. So... of course I had to add a little deco to the pockets (die cuts, sticky note, and deco stickers) and on the planner folder that came with the kit I added an adhesive pocket (because we can always use more pockets) and put the variety VB pens die cut inside.

Also, for this planner I needed to make insert covers using VB kit paper, each of these go inside the planner to cover the inserts. With those I measured to the size of the inserts (maybe a little bigger) cut them with a paper cutter or you can use scissors. And to those covers I add die cuts, stickers and a journaling card to make them even prettier.

And lastly, still using the papers from the VB kit, I made some page markers. These page markers were designed inside of Cricut Design Studio and cut with the Cricut Maker. Then laminated and cut. I love using page markers to put sticky notes on and for remembering tasks that need to be sent right away. With VB Studio physical kits and digital goodies the creativity is endless.
