It’s Heather, back with a fun and easy project with the stunning holographic die cuts that came in the Shine Bright VBKit! I was really inspired by these die cuts and knew I wanted to do something to be able to capture how pretty and unique they are. While my laminator and I are not the best of friends, I pulled her out for this project, and I’m so glad I did, because it’s really the best way to be able to see how gorgeous the die cuts are!
What you need: Die cuts Laminator (I use the $20 Scotch laminator I got from Target) Laminating pouch Optional - a tiny bit of glue to hold the die cuts in place
Step 1:Peel the protective film off those die cuts, let them shine!
Step 2:Place them inside the laminating pouch, take note on how you might want them to stick out the edges. I used this journaling card from my setup to line up the gems to hang over the top and the edge.
Step 3:Laminate, punch for your planner, and trim! Because I let the gems hang off the edges, I used scissors for most of the trimming to fussy cut around the die cuts.
That’s it! It’s really a quick project, but I think it highlights the holographic beauty that is these die cuts, and it’s amazing to layer with the papers that came in the Shine Bright VBKit as well!
