VB Tutorial: Inbox Dashboard
This month I am making an inbox dashboard for my A5 planner. I use an inbox dashboard when I jot a quick note on a post-it so that it reminds me later to put it in my planner. I prefer this method because previously I was putting them all over place, rather than in one central place (and losing track of them and then subsequently the information never made it in to my planner).

You only need a few items to make this:
  • vellum
  • VB Kit journaling cards
  • glue
  • laminating sheets
  • laminator
First thing you need to do is to cut the vellum piece down to the size of your planner, I have an A5 so was the size that I used.
Once you cut the vellum, then you can choose the embellishments you want to put on the dashboard. I used my two favorite journaling cards from this month's VB Kit. I love these two! The "Hello Sweater Weather" is really appropriate because it has been so cold here lately! All you need to do is use your glue stick or tape runner to adhere the cards or other embellishments to the dashboard. You just have to use a little bit. I like to do this so that the card does not shift when it goes through the laminator. Believe me - I have had my share of crooked things I have laminated so I like to make sure everything is snug in it's place.
Okay so now we are ready to place it into the laminator sheet and run it through the laminator. I like to line the dashboard up to the edge so that it stays snug and then run it through the laminator.  After you run it through the laminator, you have to cut the excess lamination off. You want to get close to the edge but not cut through the lamination seal.
Last thing I had to do is punch it for my rings (if you are using a hobonichi or other notebook you can skip this step). Then you insert it into your planner and it is ready to use!
