VB Close Up: BYP 2.0 Memory Keeping
Hi everyone!

When we received the gorgeous clutch in the August Beautiffy Your Planner 2.0 VBKit, I instantly knew I wanted to set it up as my “on the go” memory keeping planner. It inspired today’s blog post where I will show you how I use the VBKits in my memory keeping.
It’s no secret that the digitals included with the VBKit preorders are a favorite of mine. I printed a few digital papers along with some clip art and also pulled a few things from the physical VBKit to use in my layout.
I wanted to use the cards that were part of the digitals, but because I memory keep in a standard size traveler's notebook, I had to resize the digitals to approximately 2in x 3in. I also wanted to add a little bit more to the cards, so I added the floral die cuts to give them a little more height and dimension. After laying them down on different backgrounds, I made my decision and I loved the way it looked: simple and elegant.
At this point I still didn’t really know how I was going to incorporate my photos into the layout, but I knew I wanted to keep the look simple. That’s when I came up with the idea to add my pictures behind the cards and add washi to the side, so the cards can open and close, kind of like a little door. Because of that, I decorated the backs of the cards to add a little more fun to the layout.
It was time to add the washi to the sides of the cards to make those little “doors” I mentioned earlier. I put a strip of washi on the left side of the cards and then opened the “door” and added a strip of the transparent tape to the inside to give it more stability.
Now that my layout was complete, I glued it into my traveler's notebook and added some finishing touches.

The last thing to do is to write a couple sentences for each day and my memory keeping is complete for the week.
A little fun fact about when my sister visits: We always do two things, go to a Starbucks Reserve store to get a House Affogato (YUM!) and go to the beach. Sadly, the beaches were closed all along the coast, so instead, we took a drive to Big Sur and stopped at the Bixby Bridge to admire the scenery.

It brings me so much joy to look through my memory keeping books and I hope I have inspired you to memory keep and/or take more pictures.

Thank you so much for reading!
